The Drink Exchange runs “behind the bar” and the drink prices are displayed on TV’s around the establishment. Bar patrons purchase drinks from the bartender.

Wireless Setup

The Drink Exchange runs "behind the bar" and at the servers station. The drink prices are displayed on TV’s around the establishment. Bar and restaurant patrons purchase drink/food items in real time from handheld PDA devices.

Kiosk Setup

The Drink Exchange is setup as a self service kiosk and the drink prices are displayed on TV’s around the establishment. Bar patrons purchase drink tickets from a kiosk station. Bar patrons bring the already paid drink ticket to the bar to claim their drink.

This setup allows bar patrons to play the drink market and purchase drink futures. Drink tickets can be purchased at any time and be redeemed over the course of the night or even the next day(s). Ideally, bar patrons can purchase a drink ticket at the beginning of the night and claim their drink before the night is over. This gives bar patrons a unique opportunity to play the drink market and purchase drink tickets when the price is right.
